Will you
help in a survey on ex-pat life styles on the Costa Blanca?
Maria Casado-Diaz is
a Lecturer at the University of the West of England, Bristol, and
she is doing a research project on the lifestyles of British
residents on the Costa Blanca. Maria is currently based at the
University of Alicante and she would like us to fill in an online

● Agenda 21
group
The next meeting of the
group will be on Wednesday 30th July at 5pm. Please note that the

● Special
Waiting List Meeting
In October 2008 (date to
be confirmed) a special meeting will be held in the Parador Hotel
for membership applicants on the Javea U3A waiting list. For full

● Short
Story Competition
There is still plenty of
time to enter the second Short Story competition. The closing date
for entries is the 30th September and the subject is 'Castle'.

● Forthcoming
Events
On
Friday July 4th
a BALL is being held at El Canor in aid of MABS Cancer
Support.
On
Sunday 10th August
the Vall del Pop U3A are organising a trip to see the Cirque du
Soleil production, QUIDAM in Alicante.
On
Tuesday September 16th
a Charity Garden Party is being held in the home and lovely garden
of members Sean & Marie Smith, in aid of HELP.
In
February 2009 (date to
be confirmed) a
one day seminar is being planned on various topics related to
healthy living in
Spain.
