U3A Petanque challenge match
On the 17th & 23rd September, 2 teams of 12 from Javea challenged Moraira/Teulada to a Petanque match, each team playing at home and away. Although on both days we did get a little wet, we were able to complete all the games as arranged. On our 1st away match we won 8 – 4 but lost the home game 5 – 7. So we were quite evenly matched going into the last round. Our away team, this time, drew 6 – 6, so the final round would be the decider and we are pleased to say we won 9 – 3, making an overall total of Javea 28 – Moraira 20. So congratulations to all those who played and a big thank you all those who came along to support. Well done team.
