Walking in the Sierra Espuna Regional Park

20th-23rd February 2007

Despite a weather forecast of rain everyday, we were very fortunate to have experienced only a light shower towards the end of our walk on the first afternoon, and by Thursday mid-day the sun was shining.  I know all who participated will agree that the scenery was spectacular, and the walks thoroughly enjoyable with no steep inclines!  Everyone perhaps came back fitter, but regrettably not slimmer as Sam’s home cooking was just too tempting, and a special mention must be made of the delicious cheesecake which 10-year old Cady prepared for us on our last evening. Thank you for the warm hospitality we received at La Mariposa and to everyone for making it a real house-party!
