How to Join

JOINING JAVEA U3A

Anyone not in full-time employment can join the Javea U3A at a cost of €12 per annum, renewable in January each year. Once enrolled you are entitled to join any of the activity groups (unless a group is already fully subscribed), and take part in the various events, travel trips and excursions.

To download or print the Membership form click here. Once you have completed the Membership Form you should bring this with you to the next monthly meeting held at the Parador Hotel, Javea. Our monthly meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month, apart from July, August and December when our Organisation is closed for holidays. You should come between 9.45am - 10.45am.  Our meeting commences at 11.00am prompt and, once enrolled, you are welcome to attend.

You can also socialise with other members and -

• talk to the Travel Group and book for trips

• visit our Book and DVD Swop Desks

• visit our U3A Notice Board

• check out our 'For Sale' / 'Wanted' Notice Board

• and, of course, to meet and make new friends.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

• All subscriptions fall due in January each year

• The current rate of subscription  is €12.00, covering the year January - December

• People joining during January – June also pay €12.00

• People joining between September – December pay pro-rata PLUS €12.00 for the following year.

• It would be extremely helpful, and save everyone’s time, if you can bring the exact cash payment to the January meeting which is especially set up to deal with Membership Renewals.

In future, a strict policy will be adopted towards prompt payment of renewal subscriptions. Membership will be withdrawn on 1 March - except where the Membership Secretary has either been informed of illness or an extended absence from Spain. This allows a grace period of two months for payment of subscriptions.

Members who wish to renew their subscription, but who are not able to attend the January or February meetings in the Parador, should complete the membership renewal form, place it in an envelope with their appropriate subscription, and ask a friend to bring it to the meeting on their behalf.

CHANGE OF DETAILS

If you are already a member and wish to change your personal details a change form can be obtained at any monthly meeting or downloaded by clicking here. NOTE - To download, view, or print the various membership forms you will need Adobe Reader or an equivalent PDF reader. If you do have the appropriate Reader please visit the Newsletters page (click here), where you will find details on downloading the necessary (free) software.
