The group's aim is to share experiences of travels, treks, adventures, and, maybe, the occasional mishaps! They will meet on a monthly basis (and others as arranged), with a member of the group giving a presentation, followed by discussion and questions. Exchanging information – photos – maps – guide books – leaflets – cost of excursions - etc, will enable us to gain an insight into a country before travelling, and broaden our knowledge of what may be a “must see” or what to avoid!

Our thanks to John & Ann Boot for their excellent presentation entitled “Australia, and a 4-day stopover in Hong Kong”. The next presentation will be given by Pat Robinson, and Pat will be telling us about “South Africa”. This will be our summer “get-together”, which will take place in the El Andaluz Restaurant, on the Benitachell to Moraira road. The talk will be followed by lunch: a 3-course menu del dia, with choice of starter/main course/dessert, including ½ bottle wine pp, some water, and tip (12 euros).

After the summer break, we will reconvene on Tuesday 21st September, in the Javea Players’ Studio (in the road behind Book World España, Javea pueblo), when Steve Collins will be telling us about “Cruising the Norwegian Fjords to Iceland”.

Note the starting time: please arrive at 11.30 a.m. – and the talk will commence at 12.00 p.m. There is a charge of 1 euro p.p. to cover the cost of the hire of the Studio, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits. Please let me know if you are planning to attend, so that I can get an idea of how many chairs to have available.
