Why “Satcine”? It stands for Saturday Cinema - well you all knew that, it was so obvious wasn’t it?

Satcine will be showing a film on a Saturday evening once a month. The films I hope will be provocative and non violent with a feel good ending that you would not expect in the chain cinemas so that you go home happy. Satcine will be based at the Javea Players Study and to make the evening into a social event there will be a bar. Of course there will be some overheads but €3 paid at the door should cover these. There is no charge to watch the film.

The seating will be limited to 45, which will be tiered, just like the real thing to give a better view for everyone. At the moment there are 57 people who have expressed an interest so sadly all new applications will have to go on a waiting list.

Satcine is a closed group. Group members will receive details of the next show by email 3 weeks before the show. The first 45 to reply by email will receive an invitation to attend.

We now have just over 100 members who have expressed an interest in our Saturday social evening. As you will know we meet in The Javea Players Studio once a month, 7.30 for 8pm. With only 45 seats available getting a seat should be a lottery but as yet its not worked out that way, on our first two evenings we have had just over 40 seats taken. To remind you, the system works like this; two weeks before the show an email is sent to all members with details of the next show. the first 45 emailed replies to satcine@gmail.com will get a seat. Remember our shows contain no violence and are thought provoking with a feel good ending. Details will be sent out on Saturday morning before the performance.
