We are now back playing at the much improved courts at Café L’Echalote, Costa Nova (formally Charlie’s Bar). Same time as usual, 2.45pm for a 3pm start. The charge for hire of the courts has changed it is now 3€ each, which includes a drink, beer, wine, water, coffee or soft drink. Over the last few months 36 players have been involved in a knockout completion. Several being very tense close matches but eventual we came down to our last 3 players – each having to play each other. The final outcome was 3rd Peter Ayling, 2nd Sandra Clarke and keeping it in the family our winner – Martin Clarke. So well done Martin and to all those that took part – keep practicing ready to take on the challenge again next year. Moraira have thrown down the gauntlet again – so please let me know if you are available to play last week September and first week of October as soon as possible. Lin & Terry both wish you all a great summer, stay cool but keep practicing we need to retain our wonderful trophy again this year !!!
