Why "Satcine"? It stands for Saturday Cinema - well you all knew that, it was so obvious wasn’t it?

Satcine will be showing a film on a Saturday evening once a month. The films I hope will be provocative and non violent with a feel good ending that you would not expect in the chain cinemas so that you go home happy. Satcine will be based at the Javea Players Study and to make the evening into a social event there will be a bar. Of course there will be some overheads but €3 paid at the door should cover these. There is no charge to watch the film.

Satcine is the name of the Javea U3A´s Saturday Cine Group. We meet in The Javea Players Studio once a month, 7.30 for 8pm. Satcine has developed into a very social evening with drinks and nibbles as well as a film show. Our films are non-violent, thought provoking with a happy ending so that you go home happy.

Numbers are restricted due to the capacity of our venue but we do not have a waiting list. Satcine is open to all members of Javea U3A however you must enrol onto the Satcine email address, see above. Once you have enrolled you will receive on the Saturday two weeks before the social notification of what we will be showing.

If you would like to come you email your request to me at the address above (direct not by using your reply button). The first 45 people to reply will get an confirmation of a seat reservation. You will also get a reply if we are fully booked. To turn up on the night without confirmation of a seat is not an option.
